Dorothy V. Henry, 86, of Glen Carbon, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Anderson Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1932, in Tyrone, the daughter of Ted and Bertha Smith McKinney. She and Dale G. Henry were married Dec. 16, 1948.
She was a medical technologist at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., and in her free time she enjoyed fishing, gardening and following Chicago Cubs baseball. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; a daughter, Carol Decker; two sisters, Wilma Douglas and Betty Goodman; and three brothers, Walter McKinney, Jack McKinney and Kenneth McKinney.
Survivors include four children, Robert Henry of Granite City, Ill,, Donald Henry of Granite City, Ill., Debra Stayduhar of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Marilyn Arnzen of Richland, Wash.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Jewel McKinney, Gladys Garett and Carol Terrill; and a brother, Keith McKinney.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, Ill., with Pastor Carl Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
