The Houston volleyball team lost in three sets Monday night at Eminence.
The Lady Tigers’ 26-24, 13-25, 25-21 defeat was their second in a row following a five-game winning streak.
Senior Tara Stanton had a career-best 15 kills – with just one error – to lead HHS. Kennedy Campbell added 11 kills and four blocks.
Janae Huff, who had four aces, handed out 20 assists and Alexis Choate added 11. Melody Buse had 24 of the team’s 65 digs.
“Statistically, we played really well. And we did do some good things,” Houston coach Loran Richardson said. “But we seemed to make our mistakes at the wrong times. We didn’t communicate very well either. Luckily, we will see Eminence again at the Licking tournament.”
Houston (5-7) hosts Cabool on Tuesday night.

Freshman Sarah Purcell had eight kills and two blocks in the Houston JV volleyball team’s 26-24, 19-25, 15-13 loss Monday at Eminence.
