A week off didn’t slow the Houston volleyball team’s winning ways.
The Lady Tigers made it three victories in a row Tuesday night with a 25-22, 26-24 win at Plato.
HHS (3-5) hadn’t played in a week.
“It can be hard to get back into rhythm,” Lady Tigers coach Loran Richardson said. “We did struggle at times, but these girls held their composure and really fought to get the win.”
Junior Viviana Guerra led Houston with six kills. Alexis Choate had seven assists. Kennedy Campbell had three blocks and the team’s lone ace. Melody Buse had 17 digs.

The Lady Tigers rallied from a 24-19 deficit in the second set by scoring seven straight points to close out the match.
“Our outside attackers, Viv and Kelly (Hubbs), really did a good job playing defense and attacking the ball,” Richardson said. Mel had some great digs late in the game to keep us in it.
“It’s exciting to watch them play right now.”

The JV Lady Tigers won their match 25-19, 25-12 Tuesday at Plato. The C team won 25-8, 25-17.
