Anthony Carroll had a pair of rushing touchdowns as the Houston eighth-grade football team blanked Ava 22-0 last Thursday.
Caroll scored on runs of 68 and 3 yards. He also had a two-point conversion run and interception.
Dakota James added a four-yard rushing score for the Tigers. Danny Venable ran in the conversion.
SEVENTH GRADE: J.J. Hebblethwaite and Kayden Crawford had rushing scores for the Houston seventh-grade football team in a 30-24 loss last Thursday to Ava.
Hebblethwaite scored from 18 yards out in the first quarter and Crawford converted a three-yard run in the fourth. The Tigers’ other score was a 63-yard pass from Wyatt Hughes to Alex Garrison.
Crawford had a pair of conversion runs for Houston. Garrison had another.
