Howard Carl Edgmond, 76, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018.

He was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Oscar, son of late Edward and Mary Edgmond. He and Patsy Letner were married in1977.

He grew up in Akers and attended school in Summersville. He joined the Navy in 1960 at the age of 18, serving four years with most of his time on the USS Dyess.

As long as his health permitted, he enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sherman Edgmond.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy; three children, Carl Letner, Melonie DeJesus and Tony Edgmond; a sister, Carla Stark; a brother, Bryan Edgmond; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

No services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
