The Houston junior varsity and C teams completed their seasons Tuesday night. Both finished with winning records.
The JV Lady Tigers defeated Mountain Grove 25-23, 25-20 to finish with a 12-6 mark. Baylee Weaver had four kills and four assists.
“I am so proud of the improvement the JV team made over the course of the season,” Houston coach Loran Richardson said. “They won quite a few tough three-set matches. These girls worked hard all season and they are helping to build this program every day.”
Although the C team lost 25-22 to Mountain Grove on Tuesday, the group finished with a 7-5-1 mark.
Mackenzie Holder had two kills and one ace.
“It was fun to watch them get better and better each game,” Richardson said. “They came a long way from the beginning of the season, and it will be fun to watch them as they go through their high school career.”
