Kenneth V. Hobson, 93, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1925, in Vada, son of Herman and Mattie Jackson Hobson. He and Ruth Virginia Rodgers were married June 9, 1945.

He served during WWII in the Army. In 2016, he was honored with a trip on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years in Licking. He was a member of the VFW Post 6337 in Licking.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Licking.

He loved quail and pheasant hunting. He also enjoyed gigging and cooking on the river bank.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; and an infant grandson.

Survivors include a daughter, Bobby Lou Camden of Salem; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a special friend, Rose Smith.

Services were Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Fox Funeral Home, Licking.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
