The Cabool Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its annual Christmas parade and event dates.
The Christmas celebration will start at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, on Main Street downtown at the Gazebo. There will be a Christmas tree lighting along with singing of Christmas carols. Hot chocolate served, and an ugly Christmas sweater contest will be conducted, with the winner receiving a Christmas ham.
Cabool’s annual Christmas parade is Saturday, Dec. 8. It starts at 10 a.m. with lineup at 9 a.m. and judging of entries to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Before and after the parade, the Cabool Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Christmas open house throughout the city, with more than a dozen businesses participating and many offering specials and sale items.
At each participating business, there will be punch cards to pick up. Consumers will take their card to each participating business they visit and receive punches or marks. At the end of the day, they will leave their card with the last business they visit and the following week will be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by the businesses.
