The Houston Middle School girls’ basketball teams opened their seasons Monday night with victories against Thayer in the Mountain Grove Tournament.
Mackenzie Bryan scored eight points in the eighth grade’s 25-19 win. Aliyah Walker and Karlee Curtis added six points apiece.
In the seventh-grade game, Angie Smith hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 11 points in Houston’s 21-18 victory. Kelsey Pritchett added eight points.
