The Houston High School choir led the South Central Association with 19 students named all-conference last Thursday.

More than 170 students from the eight SCA schools auditioned for spots on the 80-voice honors choir. Houston choir director Beth Williamson took 27 students to the auditions in Willow Springs.

Four HHS students – Summer Floyd, Lucas Bailey, Haley Wilber and Mackenzie Cooper – received perfect scores from judges. There were joined on the all-SCA team by Jade Sisco, Bailey Moore, Taylor Medlock, Amelia McKinney, Gabi Hicks, Angel Fitzgerald, Hunter Brim, Wyatt Rist, Ebin Smith, William Wilson, Jaekan Moss, John Wallace, Lance Smith, Zach Brannan and Tyler Gross. 

The HHS choir department is led by Beth Williamson.
