Houston senior Kennedy Campbell drives to the basked in the second half of Monday's home game against Camdenton.

The Houston Lady Tigers’ season opener looked like a pretty difficult challenge.

It certainly played out that way.

Camdenton, a Class 5 quarterfinalist last season, scored the first 29 points of a lopsided matchup Monday night and cruised to a 67-26 victory inside Hiett Gymnasium.

The Lady Tigers (0-1) struggled to handle Camdenton’s pressure defense as they committed two five-second violations as well as a 10-second backcourt violation in the first four minutes of the game.

Senior Kennedy Campbell led HHS with seven points. Morgan and Kelly Hubbs scored five apiece.
