A local church is hosting a Christmas-themed Christian comedy night Saturday.

Professional comedian Paul May will perform at 7 p.m. inside the Launch Student Center on the campus of Faith Fellowship. Tickets are $10 and are available at the church office as well as the Houston Herald.
“Paul was here in 2017 and was an absolute hoot. We were rolling in laughter and wiping away tears,” said Jeff McNiell, student pastor at the church. “So when the opportunity came to bring him back for a Christmas show, it was a no-brainer.”
May, who lives in Springfield, has led a drama and sketch comedy group for years. He performs at churches and events throughout the country, many times partnering with them for fundraisers. McNiell said proceeds from the Houston event will be used to build an outdoor fire pit at the student center for teenagers who attend Wednesday night services there.
“Although this is a youth fundraiser held in a youth building, it’s definitely not solely a youth event. People of all ages will enjoy this show,” McNiell said. “We’re excited to share another night of laughs and fun with our community.”
