Lyle Douglas Kivett, 67, of Edgar Springs, passed away at his home Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018.

He was born April 26, 1951, son of William Chester and Wilma Christene Nielson Kivett.

He graduated from Ava High School and attended college at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. He retired after a 30-year career as a heavy equipment operator working to build more than 250 miles of highways in southern Missouri and northwest Arkansas. He also raised cattle and timber on a third generation family farm.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three children, William Robert Kivett of Springdale, Ark., and Laura Ann Kivett and Jodi Ray Reed of Waynesville; two siblings, Franklin James Kivett of the home and Aleda Louise Kivett of Edgar Springs; a niece; and two great-nieces.

Services were Monday, Nov. 5, at Fox Funeral Home, Licking.
