A CenturyLink outage that began yesterday continues on early Friday, officials said.
A large portion of the country started reporting problems yesterday, which affected some long-distance and internet accounts.
“We discovered some additional technical problems as our service restoration efforts were underway. We continue to make good progress with our recovery efforts and we are working tirelessly until restoration is complete. We apologize for the disruption,” CenturyLink said on its Twitter account at about 5:30 a.m. Friday.
Texas County 911 reported emergencies still could be reported to it. It cautioned against calling to report a telephone outage.
