A trial in a Texas County murder was officially moved to Pulaski County on Dec. 21.
Briana Calderas, 25, of Cabool, will stand trial the week of Feb. 25 in Pulaski County Circuit Court at Waynesville. She is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse at her residence where authorities said the crime occurred.
Calderas was one of four people charged in the September 2017 death of 17-year-old Ally Steinfeld, a transgender teenager whose remains were found at the Calderas residence northwest of Cabool.
Another defendant, Andrew Vrba, 19, is awaiting trial and recently received a change of venue to Greene County. It was originally to be held in Crawford County, but the judge overseeing the case was defeated in November. A conference call is Friday, Jan. 4, between attorneys and the judge who will preside over the case, Calvin Holden. If found guilty, Vrba could receive the death penalty.
Two others have already been sentenced in the case.
