Angelina Smith scored 20 points as the Houston seventh-grade girls’ basketball team beat Cabool 36-14 last Friday.

Mikendra Ramsey added 10 points for the Lady Tigers, who led 10-2 after the opening quarter and by 16 at the half.

On Thursday, Smith had 12 points in Houston’s 27-21 loss at Mountain Grove. The Lady Tigers are 5-6.

EIGHTH GRADE: Karlee Curtis and Rhease Manier had five points apiece in the Houston eighth grade girls’ basketball team’s 24-23 loss Thursday at Mountain Grove.

Houston, which fell to 7-4, trailed 9-2 after the opening quarter.
