Clayton Moore scored 12 points and Ty Franklin had 10 in the Houston Tigers’ 67-39 loss Thursday to state-ranked Mansfield in the semifinals of the Mansfield Invitational.

Fourth-seeded HHS (2-3) plays No. 3 Ava at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the third-place game. No. 1 Mansfield faces second-seeded Seymour in the championship game.

Mansfield (4-0), ranked sixth in Class 2, led 14-6 after the opening quarter before pulling away with a 20-5 advantage in the second quarter. Houston trailed 34-11 at the half.

Freshman Korbyn Tune had seven points for the Tigers. Jaekan Moss blocked three shots.

Houston shot 34 percent from the field and was 2-for-11 from downtown.
