The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

A 36-year-old woman who lives there told the officer she saw two boys walking through a field pulling a cart with several swiped items on it and confronted them. The officer spoke with the boys – ages 16 and 13 – and the younger one said he was not involved in the theft, but the older one said both boys broke into two sheds and took several items. He said they found a cart, placed items on it and tried to leave through a field in an attempt to not be seen.
A report was sent to the county juvenile office.
