Increases in meal per diem and mileage costs were approved by the Texas County Commission.
Mileage rate reimbursement will jump a nickel to 50 cents, and meal expenses per diem will increase from $20 to $30.
The matters were handled Jan. 2-3 by the commission.
In other matters, members:
—Heard from Sheriff Scott Lindsey on personnel matters. Josh Hurst resigned as a full-time corrections officer Dec. 23. Karen Stewart was hired Dec. 26 as a part-time cook. Lindsey reported dispatching was now being done by Texas County 911. He said another telephone line is required at the sheriff’s department.
—Adjourned into a closed session with Parke Stevens Jr, county prosecutor; TCMH CEO Wes Murray, John Hammons, TCMH attorney; board members Omanez Fockler and Dr. Jim Perry to discuss a community improvement district to benefit the county hospital.
Associate Commissioner John Casey was traveling and could not attend.
