The Houston Tigers lost 48-42 to Laquey on Friday in the consolation finale of the Conway Invitational.
HHS led 7-2 after the opening quarter but then were held to a pair of free throws in the second quarter and Laquey used a 13-2 edge to take a lead that was never relinquished.
Clayton Moore scored 15 points and Ty Franklin had 13 for the Tigers (7-12).
HHS plays three times at home this week, beginning with Tuesday night’s game against Liberty. The Tigers host Thayer on Thursday and Cabool on Friday.
