The Houston Police Department issued citations following several investigations.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•James H. Hill, 66, of 14115 Suzann Lane in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for driving while suspended after a traffic stop at U.S. 63 and Grand Avenue at about 4:40 p.m. Jan. 14.

An officer who was aware Hill’s license was suspended made the stop after observing him driving a Ford Ranger and pulling into a business parking lot.

After making contact with Hill, the officer smelled marijuana and a passenger in the vehicle was subsequently issued citations for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia: Alex J. Collins, 29, of 15308 Piney Drive at Bucyrus.

•Cameron R. Fredrick, 19, of 8268 Sinning Drive at Mountain Grove, was cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption on Jan. 12.

An officer wrote the ticket at about 1 a.m. while assisting another officer with a traffic stop. During the procedure, the officer made contact with Fredrick, who was a passenger in the stopped vehicle, and smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Fredrick allegedly admitted to having consumed multiple alcoholic beverages.

•Matthew M. Moda, 37, of 12353 Highway 32 at Roby, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly stealing lottery tickets valued at $237 from Casey’s General Store at about 1 a.m. Dec. 3.

•Laurie A. Iverson, 58, of 6920 Lundy Road in Houston, was issued citations for driving without a valid license and failure to stop at a posted stop sign after a traffic stop at Hamrick Avenue and Hawthorn Street at about 7 p.m. Jan. 9.

An officer on patrol made the stop after observing a red Ford sedan turn from Hamrick onto Hawthorn without stopping.

•Daniel E. Ketchum, 19, of 300 Ozark St. in Houston, was cited for driving without a driver’s license after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 31. An officer made the stop after observing a full-size passenger van traveling without its headlights on.

•Joyce E. Grammar, 72, of 3580 Highway 17 at Summersville, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at about 2:35 p.m. Dec. 29.

•Richard A. Weatherston, 60, of 506 Phelps St., was cited on Dec. 18 for failing to stop for a school bus unloading or loading after allegedly passing a bus that was unloading kids in front of the high school at about 8 a.m.
