Memorial potluck: 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Houston Rural Fire Station

Jessica Dawne Fisher McDonough, 34, passed away Jan. 11, 2019. While Jessica’s death was unexpected, she suffered from alcohol addiction for quite some time and her family feared the consequences would claim her life. She is now at peace and her family is grateful she is no longer suffering.

At Cherry Point, N.C., her parents excitedly announced her arrival on Feb. 5, 1984. They watched her charge full steam ahead into adulthood, blazing a path for her siblings. She graduated from Cabool High School, Cabool, Mo., in 2002 and from Missouri State University in 2004.

Despite her critical self-view, she was accepting of everyone. She was as much an instigator as she was full of compassion. She was known for her creativity, quick wit and sarcasm. She loved to sing, crochet, make gifts and cook for her family.

Jessica is survived by her parents, James and Jill Fisher of Cabool; husband, Tim McDonough; daughters, Alexis and Allison; sister, Justine Ebert (husband AJ); brother, Jonathan Fisher; and her maternal grandparents, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.

To heal and celebrate the Jessica that was loved, there will be a memorial potluck (she liked to feed people) at the fire station in Houston, Mo., starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, for family and friends who wish to attend. Bring a dish and your stories.
