Johnny Lester Hancock, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Houston House.

He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Nashville, Ga., son of Lacey and Bertie Clark Hancock.

He served in the Army Signal Corp, retiring in 1982 as a CSM.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Darla Sue Lamble Hancock.

Survivors include nine children, Lasha, Kelly, Jeanie, John, Joann, Joe, Eva, Jaimy and Josh.

Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date in Irwinville, Ga.
