Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G Cpt. Mark G. Inman released statistics from an exercise aimed at intoxicated drivers in Texas County on Monday, Dec. 31.
A total of 22 citations and 46 warnings were issued, Inman reported, and troopers arrested one person for driving while intoxicated and two for drug violations.
The designated highways for the operation were U.S. 60 and U.S. 63. Totals from the saturation:
•10 speed citations
•One seat belt citation
•One child restraint violation citation
•Three driver license violation citations
•Two non-moving violation citations
•Five uninsured motorist citations
•Two misdemeanor drug arrests
•One driving while intoxicated arrest
“The Missouri State Highway Patrol is dedicated to removing impaired drivers from our roadways,” Inman said. “DWI saturations are one tool we use to make our roadways safer for Missouri’s motorists. Please be careful when behind the wheel and never drink and drive.”
