The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•Naomi R. Damon, 33, of 2060 Highway 17 at Summersville, was arrested Jan. 20 for having an active St. Clair County felony warrant for probation revocation.
A deputy made the arrest at Damon’s residence after responding to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. While at the scene, officers ran computer searches on several people there and the warrant was revealed. She was taken to the Texas County Jail without incident.
A man there had an active misdemeanor warrant out of Osceola for failure to appear in court. Timmie L. Green, 32, also of Highway 17 in Summersville, was arrested and taken to jail.
•A 23-year-old Cabool man reported on Jan. 5 that a refrigerator, cash and a ratcheting cable come-along with a total value of $450 had been stolen from his Highway 181 residence. The man named a 25-year-old Cabool man as a suspect. Investigation is ongoing.
•Stacy L. Treacy, 37, of 9352 Highway E at Houston, was arrested Jan. 18 for having an active warrant out of Mountain View for failure to appear in court.
A deputy made the arrest after responding to a report of a drunk woman lying in a ditch at the Success School. Before arrival, an investigation officer was advised that the woman – Treacy – had gotten up and was walking along a gravel road between the school and Roby fire station.
The officer found her in a residence at the end of the road, took her into custody and transported her to jail.
•A deputy on Jan. 18 investigated a report from a Mountain Grove man that his half-brother had been calling him and sending messages via text and Facebook threatening to kill him, his wife, her son and other family members.
The officer went to the man’s Vernon Road residence and the man stated his half brother was convinced he and his brothers were responsible for his father committing suicide 30 years ago. While the officer was there, the half-brother called and the officer was able to hear him yelling, but not making much sense.
The man told the half-brother he would defend himself and family if necessary. He told the deputy he wanted the situation documented in case something happened.
•Fabrice J. Lucas, 57, of 11087 Highway 17 at Success, was arrested Jan. 18 for having an active Texas County warrant for failure to appear in court. An officer made the arrest inside the lobby at the Texas County prosecuting attorney’s office after being advised Lucas was there. Lucas was escorted to jail.
•At about 7 a.m. Jan. 11, deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Lynch Drive residence at Bucyrus.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a man and his grandmother and determined there was no incident, but that someone had called so the man would be arrested for having an active warrant. A computer check revealed that the man did have an active Texas County warrant (of unreported nature).
Daniel S. Cook, 28, of 14429 Highway AW, Unit B, in Plato, was arrested and taken to jail without incident.
•A 35-year-old Houston man reported on Jan. 17 that a header pipe valued at $250 had been swiped from a demolition derby car of his that was parked on a trailer in a church parking lot next to his Highway E residence. There are no suspects.
•A 29-year-old Summersville man came to the TCSD office on Nov. 26 to report that eight portable buildings with a total value of $33,367 had been stolen from his businesses in Summersville and West Plains.
The man stated six buildings had been swiped from the West Plains location and two from Summersville. He was advised to also contact the West Plains Police Department. Investigation of the case is ongoing.
