The Houston Tigers returned to the win column Thursday night with a 59-41 victory over Aurora in the Conway Invitational.

HHS, which blew an opening-round lead in Tuesday’s first-round loss to Stoutland, will play Laquey at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the consolation final.

Junior Clayton Moore led three Houston players in double figures with 22 points. Korbyn Tune added 11 points and Sterling Jackson had 10.

HHS point guard Kyler Ramsey returned to the lineup after missing the previous four games with a strained achilles. He didn’t start but played all four quarters.

Houston (7-11) led by five at the half before pulling away with a 15-7 edge in the third quarter.

With their seventh win, the Tigers matched last year’s total and moved just three away from the program’s first 10-win season since 2010.
