The unemployment rate in Texas County increased about eight-tenths of a percentage point in December from the previous month, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 4.5 percent.
According to the report, the civilian labor force totaled 8,593. There were 8,206 employed.
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 10.5; Howell, 3.6; Shannon, 5.8; and Wright, 5.6.
The average in south-central Missouri was 4.9 percent.
