The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual banquet Saturday inside the community building at the chamber’s fairgrounds on North U.S. 63.
The theme for the event this year is “The Roaring 20s,” and attendees are encouraged to dress in period-correct attire.
A dance instructor will be on hand to show people how to do “the Charleston.” There will also be a silent auction and a cake, cookie and pie auction, and multiple community members, businesses and organizations will be recognized with awards. New this year will be a murder mystery competition.
Everyone is welcome, including non-chamber members. Tickets are $15 apiece – which includes a catered meal – and can be purchased at the door or in advance at the chamber headquarters at the Houston Visitors Center (at U.S. 63 and Walnut Street).
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 417-967-2220 or email information@houstonmochamber.com.
