Dorothy “Fern” McClure Goodwin, 82, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at her home in Springfield.
She was born June 17, 1936, in Texas County, daughter of Walker and Ruby Beckham. She and Donald McClure were married in 1952 in Licking. She later married John J. Goodwin. He passed away in 2008.
She was a registered nurse in the oncology department at Ozarks Medical Center for many years. Prior to becoming a nurse, she was employed at International Shoe Company.
Survivors include a brother, Willis Lee Beckham of Florida; three daughters, Nancy Parrish of Nixa, Susie McClure of Springfield and Vickie Meador of Mountain Grove; a son, Michael McClure of Spokane; two stepsons, John N. Goodwin and Mark Goodwin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Fox Funeral Home, Licking. Burial was in Licking Cemetery.
