A Houston man was arrested Monday in Licking for allegedly possessing cocaine.

According to a Licking Police Department report, a short-term drug investigation was conducted and an officer made contact with a person in a parked vehicle. During the investigation, 83 unmarked capsules containing a white in color powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine were discovered. Also located inside the vehicle were plastic bags containing a white powdery substance that also tested positive for cocaine.

Ronald R. Winole,  50, of Houston, was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, deliver, manufacture or produce, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.

The drugs were seized as evidence and forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Texas County prosecutor’s office seeking formal charges.
