James Milfred Woolsey, 64, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at his home in Arroll.

He was born May 3, 1954, in Mountain View, son of Milfred Jayhue and Donna Marie Farmer Woolsey. He and Pennie Jean Roark were married July 31, 1972.

He attended grade school in Arroll and high school in Summersville, graduating in 1972.

He was a lifelong member of Arroll Community Church, where he served as a deacon, board member and occasional Sunday school teacher.

He enjoyed traveling, trading and trucking around the country. He learned from his father, Milfred, the skills of trading logging, farming and loyalty to God, family and friends. He enjoyed passing those onto his sons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milfred.

Survivors include his wife, Pennie Woolsey; three sons, Calvin Woolsey, Jason Woolsey and James Jayhue (Jay) Woolsey of Arroll; nine grandchildren; his mother, Donna Woolsey of Arroll; four brothers, Michael Woolsey and Scott Woolsey of Arroll, Doug Woolsey of Mountain View and Steven Woolsey of Willow Springs; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday, Feb. 9, at Arroll Community Church under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home. Burial was in Arroll Cemetery.
