Highway BB southwest of Licking has reopened after high water forced its closure.
EARLIER: A Texas County highway is closed due to high water, the Missouri Department of Transportation reports.
Highway BB is no longer open.
The Boiling Springs Resort reported this morning that the Big Piney River was rising at a little less than six inches per hour. A creek was little more than a trickle at 3:30 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. it was over the road —or about three feet in six hours, it said.
Highway EE near the Texas and Douglas County line also is closed.
