A Houston man faces a felony drug charge after a significant amount of cocaine was allegedly found in his car by a Licking Police Department officer in late February.
Ronald R. Windle, 50, of 6557 Lundy Road at Houston, was charged March 19 with felony possession of a controlled substance.
According to a report, an LPD officer was dispatched to the parking lot of PJ’s Café regarding a suspicious man in a passenger car who was possibly having a seizure. Upon arrival, the officer observed the man – Windle – slumped over the center console and awakened him.
During the officer’s investigation, 83 capsules and several plastic bags containing cocaine were reportedly found in the vehicle, along with a $100 bill that field tested positive for coke.
As Windle was being transported to the Texas County Jail, he reportedly denied possessing the capsules at first, but later stated they contained a controlled substance and that he had a prescription for them.
