Citations were written after several investigations during the last week.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Harold T. Carlson, of 9921 Stone Ridge Road at Huggins, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Grand Avenue at about 11 a.m. Feb. 28.

•Alejandro M. Flores, 19, of 16729 Johnson Branch Road at Solo, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption on March 9.

An officer ticketed Flores after making a traffic stop at about 12:30 a.m. on First Street and smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Flores was a passenger inside and stated he had been drinking.

•Randuel T. Dailing, 20, of 11050 Gladden Road at Success, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption on March 10.

An officer ticketed Dailing after making a traffic stop on West Highway 17 and smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Dailing was a passenger inside and was determined to have been drinking.

•Lewellyn L. Uphoff, 84, of 10446 Highway 17 at Success, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident on Holder Drive at about 9 a.m. Feb. 26.

•Ryan L. Wolfe, 26, of 295 Old Yukon Road at Raymondville, was cited on March 8 for driving while revoked.

•Robert F. Reed, 36, of 1120 S. Sam Houston Blvd. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly swiping a woman’s floor mats valued at $99 while she was washing her vehicle at a car wash in Houston on Feb. 27.

•Victor L. Hall, 23, of 16492 Hog Creek Road, Lot 1, at Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated (drugs) after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 8:55 p.m. Feb. 26.

An officer made the stop after observing a cream-colored Ford F-150 with an inoperable headlight moving erratically. After making contact with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and field sobriety tests were conducted. Hall was taken to jail and released to a sober driver.

•Dustin L. Mitchell, 32, of 17633 Longview Road at Elk Creek, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Highway 17 at about 8:40 p.m. March 1.

An officer made the stop after observing a silver Chevrolet flatbed truck traveling with an inoperable tail light and moving erratically. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.

Mitchell was taken to the Texas County Jail and released to a sober driver.

•Heather L. Cierley, 35, of 106 Redbud Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Lilly Avenue at about 1:35 a.m. Feb. 3.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Nissan sedan traveling with an inoperable registration light. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Cierley was taken to jail and released to a sober driver.
