The Houston Police Department issued citations following investigations.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Lori L. Strong, 49, of 1247 Ozark St. in Houston, was cited for driving while suspended on March 2.

An officer who knew Strong’s license was suspended wrote the ticket after observing her driving a maroon Ford Focus on U.S. 63 and making a traffic stop of the vehicle on Highway 17.

•Eric J. Buell, 35, of 1435 Thomasville Road, No. 4, in Houston, was issued citations for fourth-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest after an incident at his residence involving a 36-year-old woman at about 2:15 a.m. Feb. 26.

An officer responded to the location after an anonymous caller reported an incident was occurring. During an investigation, Buell reportedly refused to comply with the officer’s commands. The officer deployed a taser, which slowed Buell, but he continued resisting and was taken to the floor by the officer. He was ultimately handcuffed and taken to jail for a 12-hour hold period.

•Joseph E. Chapman, 37, of 716 Ozark St. in Houston, was cited for careless and imprudent driving on Feb. 21 after allegedly passing a vehicle on Bryan Street while traveling at a high rate at about 7 p.m.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Cadillac with a tail light out traveling on U.S. 63, and then noticing the vehicle weaving, moving slowly and having its brake lights on almost continually. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.

Lancaster was taken to jail, fingerprinted and then given a courtesy ride to his residence. A breath test done at about 1:45 a.m. revealed his blood alcohol content level was .220.
