Houston police officers handled several investigations recently. 

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Daniel L. Hale, 48, of 960 Shelton Ave., No. 3, in Cabool, was cited for driving while revoked on March 19.

•Nathan J. Neal, 46, of 12062 Highway 32 at Roby, was arrested March 15 for having active warrants in Texas County and Dent County.

An officer made the arrest at about 9:20 p.m. at a car wash in Houston. Upon arrival at the Texas County Jail, a small plastic bag was reportedly found in Neal’s pants pocket that contained a substance that tested positive as methamphetamine. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.

•Shawn K. Soto, 48, of 8419 Highway 137 at Raymondville, was issued citations on March 12 for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, possession of marijuana and distribution of a controlled substance at a protected location (jail).

An officer on patrol wrote the citations after observing a red Ford F-150 make a traveling in the inner lane on U.S. 63 and then make a left turn from U.S. 63 onto Holder Drive without signaling.

After making contact with the driver, Soto, the officer determined she had an active Texas County warrant for manufacturing a controlled substance with a bond of $150,000. Upon arrival at the Texas County Jail, marijuana was found to among the items in Soto’s possession. She was unable to post bond and incarcerated.

•James E. Burris Jr, 46, of 8634 Highway E in Houston, was cited March 15 for failure to stop at a posted stop sign.

•Dawn M. Sikes, 41, of RR1 Box 125B in Summerville, was cited on March 16 for failure to place child in a restraint device.

•Brandon Carter, 34, of 8925 Highway 17 at Bucyrus, was issued citations on March 10 for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

•Ashley C. Walser, 22, of St. James, was cited for first-degree trespassing on Feb. 25 after allegedly refusing to leave a 35-year-old woman’s Cleveland Road residence.

•Corey R. Crumm, 34, of 9215 Highway 17 at Bucyrus, was issued citations on March 2 for driving while suspended, failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance. An officer wrote the tickets after observing a silver Pontiac Grand Am with expired license plates traveling on U.S. 63.

•Cheryl J. Webster, 57, of 18973 Dixon Road at Licking, was cited for driving without a valid license on March 19.

•James L. Hamby, 66, of 15613 Highway N at Licking, was issued citations on March 1 for driving while revoked and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Hamby was cited for driving while revoked again on March 8.

•A 39-year-old Houston woman reported on Feb. 11 that a mixer and a smart speaker with a total value of $280 had been stolen from her Sugar Maple Drive residence. There are no suspects.

•Rachel D. Mister, 33, of 215 Oak St. in Houston, was arrested March 8 for having four active City of Houston warrants for stealing under $500. She was taken to the Texas County Jail, where she was unable to post $802 bond.
