The Texas County Sheriff's Department is investigating several thefts in the county.

The man was arrested, and a search of the vehicle revealed a small plastic bag containing a crystal substance that tested positive as methamphetamine.

A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.

A 57-year-old woman there told officers numerous items with a total value of $6,442 had been stolen and that about $3,500 in damage had been done to the home. Footage from a neighbor’s video surveillance system showed an ATV arrive at the location just after midnight and leave at about 1:10 a.m., and then arrive again at about 3:10 a.m. and leave at 4:15.

Investigation continues.
