The Houston baseball team is 0-for-3 in opportunities for coach Brent Hall’s 300th career win.

The Tigers were shut out 8-0 at home Monday by Seymour. It was the first time they were blanked this season.

HHS (3-3) managed just two hits – a double from Alex Castleman and single by Devin Wallander – and five total baserunners.

Junior Jacob Koch, who was 2-0, suffered his first loss of the season. He gave up seven hits and five runs – four earned – in five innings. He struck out six and walked five.

Houston, which started the season 3-0, has lost three consecutive games. The Tigers play again Thursday at Salem.
