Winds down trees in area, disrupt power

High winds whipping through the area caused problems Saturday afternoon in Texas County.

A tree landed late Saturday afternoon on a vehicle on Highway 17 south of Summersville near Pine Crest. No injury was reported. 

A fire resulted on Iron Mine Road off Highway C near Licking when a tree landed on a power line. 

Another tree was down on Highway VV near Licking and Friendship Drive near Raymondville.

At about 5:30 p.m., Intercounty Electric was reporting 653 customer outages in Texas County
