The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Jennifer L. Holden, 31, of 8877 Hayes Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for driving without a valid license after a traffic stop on Highway 17 at about 11 p.m. April 11.
•The man who owns a restaurant on U.S. 63 in Houston reported on March 30 that a 2,000-watt Predator generator valued at $500 had been stolen from the establishment’s kitchen.
The man told an investigating officer that he had two male employees working in the kitchen. The two were to be interviewed by police.
•At about 7 p.m. April 2, an officer responded to a report of a man and woman fighting in the parking lot at McDonald’s on U.S. 63.
The officer made contact with a 36-year-old man and 21-year-old woman there who stated they were arguing over where to change the baby’s diaper. The officer observed that the baby was in good health and determined no crime was committed.
•Billy E. Smith, 43, of 19954 Wildwood Drive in Raymondville, was arrested April 18 for having an active Texas County warrant for drug charges.
An officer made the arrest at the probation and parole office in Houston after being advised that Smith was there.
He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $50,000 bond.
