Two Rolla residents were injured Thursday in an accident southeast of Roby on Bell Road, the Missouri State Highway 17 said.
Tpr. Justice Simpson said an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Ashley W. Wortman, 28, ran off the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle returned back across the road and traveled off the right side and struck a tree.
Wortman and a passenger, Russell E. Thomas, 43, were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Wortman’s injuries were moderate; and Thomas’ minor.
The vehicle had extensive damage, Simpson said. Wortman was wearing a seat belt; and Thomas was not.
