The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy was dispatched May 20 regarding a report of property damage at a property on U.S. 63.
A 65-year-old man there told the officer the passenger side window of a 1992 Ford Bronco had been broken out, but nothing was missing from inside the vehicle. There are no suspects.
•On May 19, deputies responded to a report of a 54-year-old man walking along Pisgah Road at Roby who was carrying a shotgun and talking to himself.
Upon arrival, officers didn’t see the man in the road but made contact with him at his residence. Due to his actions and verbal communications, officers determined the man was likely in need of medical evaluation.

Deputies from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department were called to several investigations in the last week.
He was taken to jail for a 12-hour safekeeping period and then transported to hospital for a 96-hour evaluation period.
•A 32-year-old Licking woman reported on May 18 that she had discovered five fraudulent online purchases made with her credit card – three on wish.com totaling $151.17 and two on eBay totaling $123.99. She told an investigating officer she had been in touch with both companies and that all of the charges had been traced to a 19-year-old man who she and her husband had thrown out of their home three weeks earlier, along with an 18-year-old girl.
The woman assumed the couple must have taken a photo of her card or written the card number down, because she had physical custody of it when the charges occurred. Where the two suspects now reside is yet to be determined and investigation continues.
