The Class 3 District 10 tournament begins Monday after being postponed Saturday by inclement weather. 

Top-seeded Licking and the Tigers both have first-round byes in the six-team bracket that will be played in Houston. Fourth-seeded Mountain Grove and No. 5 Willow Springs play at 2 p.m. Monday, followed by No. 3 Liberty and sixth-seeded Cabool at 4 p.m.

The semifinals are Tuesday with Licking facing the Mountain Grove-Willow Springs winner at 2 p.m. Houston hosts the Liberty-Cabool winner at 4 p.m. The championship game is 4 p.m. May 14.

HHS (14-9) won 11 of its last 13 games during the latter part of the season before losing its final three games to Plato, Salem and Mansfield.

Houston owns close wins over both of their potential semifinal opponents – 10-9 against Liberty on April 4 as well as 1-0 and 2-1 against Cabool.

The Tigers last won districts in 2007, when they finished second in the state. The program also won district championships in 1992, 1980, 1975, 1960 and 1959.
