This weekend’s MSHSAA track and field championships for Class 3, 4 and 5 have been moved to three separate locations after Jefferson City received extensive damage from a tornado Wednesday night.
The Class 3 meet, which will include Houston High School sophomore Daniel Hutcheson competing in the 100- and 200-meter springs, will be held at the University of Missouri.
Battle High School will host the Class 5 meet. Washington High School is set to host Class 4.
Each state championship meet will now be a Saturday-only event.
MSHSAA announced early Thursday that the state finals had been suspended and that more information would be released throughout the day.
All three classes were originally scheduled to compete at Adkins Stadium at Jefferson City High School on Friday and Saturday.
