Three persons face drug charges following a stop Tuesday on Highway B at Raymondville by a county deputy, said Sheriff Scott Lindsey.
The driver was identified as Michael Vice, 51, of Salem. A records check indicated Vice’s driver’s license was revoked and he was taken into custody. Lindsey said that during further investigation, drug paraphernalia was observed in the car. Two female passengers were identified as Kellee Letterman, 37, of Springfield, and Stephanie R. Shook-Sheets, 28, of Salem. During a further search of the vehicle more drug paraphernalia was discovered along with a bag containing a substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine.Â
The three were arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail. Vice was booked and released for driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance, while Letterman and Shook-Sheets were each booked and released for possession of controlled substance.
Lindsey said the suspected methamphetamine was to be sent to the crime laboratory for confirmation and probable cause statements will be sent to the Texas County prosecuting attorney seeking formal charges.   Â
