Intercounty Electric Cooperative will hold its annual membership meeting today at Licking City Park.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Attendees should bring the registration portion of the book received in the mail (the entire back cover) to pick up a gift and drawing ticket.
Other activities at the event:
•Heath fair — Texas County Memorial Hospital is providing a multi-chem profile for $25. Other health-related vendors will have booths.
•Breakfast — The Raymondville Fire Department will sponsor a breakfast (a good thing for people who fasted for health tests).
•Craft fair — A large craft and business fair will be provided.
•Kids tent — Register for bicycle drawings. A coloring contest is for kids ages 8-and-under. Attendees can also have their picture taken with a lineman. Professional face painting is also planned.
•Prize drawings will be held throughout the day. The grand prize of a $600 electric credit will be awarded at 9:45 a.m.
The business meeting begins at 10 a.m. and will include guest speaker Doug Rusk, superintendent of Montauk State park. A barbecue lunch begins at about 11:30 a.m. and live music by the Baker Family will take place at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Voting will commence right after the business meeting.
