A fireworks show is Saturday, June 29, in Houston.

The chamber’s annual fireworks show occurs at dark this evening (Saturday) at its fairgrounds on North U.S. 63 in Houston.

The show will begin at dark and parking is free.

Before the fireworks show, City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department director Kayla Sloan will host a two-mile “Freedom Run” that will begin at 8 p.m. at city hall and finish at the northern end of Oak Hill Drive. At each half-mile, participants will stop and partake in various “strength components.” There is a $25 entry fee for the run.
