The Houston Police Department handled several investigations in the last week.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Michael L. Briggs, 41, of 7042 Highway KK at Hartshorn, was issued citations for failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance on June 16.

•Skye C. Marler, 19, of 220 Carter St., Apt. 15, in Licking, was cited for driving with a suspended license once on June 4 and twice on June 13.

The ticket on June 4 was issued just after midnight during a traffic stop on U.S. 63.

The first ticket on June 13 was issued at about 1:30 p.m. during a traffic stop on Highway 17 and the second at about 7:30 p.m. after a stop on Oak Hill Drive. Marler was also cited for expired license plates during the first June 13 stop and speeding during the second.

•Jacob A. Roberts, 25, of 212 E. Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued citations for driving while revoked and no insurance after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 2:20 a.m. June 16.

•Tommy D. Perkins, 40, of 211 S. Grand Ave., Apt. 101, in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting from Walmart on May 24.

•Billy J. Goodwin, 42, of 713 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was cited for driving with a suspended license on May 27.
