Members of the Houston board of education closed out the budget year during a short meeting Tuesday night.
The district’s new fiscal year begins July 1. The board made a few adjustments to the current budget year before launching the new fiscal document.
In other matters, members:
•Approved a HVAC bid from Wood Mechanical Inc. for $30,430.
•Reviewed handbooks for each building. No action was needed, and the board will revisit the issue at its July 9 meeting.
