Unemployment increased four-tenths of percentage point to 4.3 percent in Texas County in May, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
In south-central Missouri, the average rate was 4.6 percent.
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 3.8; Howell, 3.5; Shannon, 4.7; and Wright, 4.5.
